I thought that bibliolesence was a silly term, but biblioclasm? The latter is Liz Hand’s term for the bookseller turned bookburner who’s been much blogged about of late.

As for bibliolesence, my occasional series of posts on the term will probably continue…

  1. That was actually a term I used in one of my early books, Aestival Tide I think; I couldn’t even remember how to spell it (I had it as bibliochlasm) but it came back to mind when I saw that article.

    I initially read your word as “bibliosilence,” which I also thought was cool — you, know like radio silence.
