No More eMusic for Me
July 26, 2007
I just canceled my subscription to eMusic. Of all the means of buying music I’ve used, it turned out to be the most expensive. The reason is that I gave a credit card when I signed up for the free trial and then forgot to use or cancel the service. I asked for a refund for the unused months, but the request was refused.
This is not a rant against eMusic. But it is a recommendation against eMusic, unless you are really good at keeping track of free services and when they cease to be free, or you are absolutely sure you’ll get good use out of it.
As for me, I’ll stick with Rhapsody, whence I stream much music on an almost-daily basis.
