Movable Type 4.0

August 15, 2007

Movable Type 4.0 is out. Anil Dash presents 4.0 as “the biggest release of MT ever, a complete redesign.” Congratulations to Six Apart.

I’m interested in the WordPress comparison. Jordan Clark compares MT4 and WP 2.2 at Mashable, and concludes that WordPress comes out on top. On the other hand, Read/Write Richard asserts that, with the impending open source release of MT4, Movable Type will be at least as attractive as WordPress as a publishing platform for bloggers.

The MT4 documentation is online. It includes a Guide to Business Blogging, which in turn includes some guidelines about how to evaluate the companies which offer blogging solutions.
