Bees are disappearing, and hence crops are going unpollinated, in parts of the USA and of Europe. Since we humans need crops, crops need pollination, and pollination requires bees, this is serious. It’s even serious enough to have TLAs to represent such phrases as Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) or Vanishing Bee Syndrome (VBS).
