Today’s Boston Globe includes an obituary for Lloyd Alexander and one for Gary Rosen. I hadn’t heard of Gary Rosen before, but the obit headline’s inclusion of “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” got mashed up in my mind with Lloyd Alexander’s Chronicles of Prydain, which I have read and enjoyed multiple times.
The mashup took the form of a ficlet: The Cauldron Bears. I hope that you enjoy it. I hope that Lloyd Alexander rests in peace, rather than turning in his grave.
