I thought that bibliolesence was a silly term, but biblioclasm? The latter is Liz Hand’s term for the bookseller turned bookburner who’s been much blogged about of late.

That was actually a term I used in one of my early books, Aestival Tide I think; I couldn’t even remember how to spell it (I had it as bibliochlasm) but it came back to mind when I saw that article.
I initially read your word as “bibliosilence,” which I also thought was cool — you, know like radio silence.
