Rick Daniels, former President of the Boston Globe, has been named chief operating officer of GateHouse Media New England… which is made up of daily and weekly newspapers, including the Patriot Ledger of Quincy, as well as websites and other publications.
Rick is (was?) an executive in residence at Northeastern University, which is how I met him and got him as a guest speaker in my strategic management class on a couple of occasions. He’s a very interesting guy, and the only person I know who has a Red Sox World Series ring. Congratulations to Gatehouse on hiring Rick.
