I like my blog/home here at this domain and at WordPress.com. The hosting here comes with some restrictions, but that doesn’t usually bother me, especially since I’m in a simple sidebar phase (from which I’m unlikely ever to emerge).
Even so, the urge to tinker with widgets* and the like is strong. Facebook applications provide a really good way of working this off. When I’m tempted to clutter up my blog sidebar with some chunk of stuff, I can usually find an application to add much the same stuff to the pile of clutter that is my FaceBook profile. So, while Facebook is a den for some people, it’s an attic for me.
But I recently gave in to a particularly strong attack of widgetlust. I signed up with the hosting service offering the most affordable, smallest, and most orange plan I could find.
I started an old-school WordPress blog to play around on. I’ve already played with the service I’d most like to see available at WordPress.com.
