Sometimes you hear about a new site, and are amazed that the domain wasn’t already taken. This is one of those amazing occasions. Even more amazing is that geostationarybananaovertexas.org is still available.
The project is in the resource-gathering stage. It needs a million bucks, mathematicians, cultural critics, etc. It already has lawyers, who have determined that there is no law against floating a 300-meter banana 30km above Texas.
Why can’t Massachusetts attract projects like this? I suspect that it’s because we have a tax on floating bananas. This is via Boing Boing, except for the part about the taxes.
