Presenting Presently at TechCrunch40

As expected, Google presented presently at the TechCrunch40 conference today. In my recent post about Google Apps, I said that offline access via Google Gears can’t be far away. The question came up today, drawing the response that users want it, but there’s no announcement about it right now.

I’m not following the TechCrunch conference post-by-post, just skimming and then reading when something catches my eye. The most eye-catching something so far is Metaplace.

We supply a suite of tools so you can make worlds, and we host servers for you so that anyone can connect and play. And the client could be anywhere on the Web.

GigaOM has an interview with Mr Metaplace, Ralph Koster.
