Lawsuit Alleging GPL Violation

In Free/Open Source news, there’s the filing of the first US copyright lawsuit based on an alleged violation of the GPL (GNU General Public License). Matt Asay has the story.

Matt can be confusing. The post to which I’ve just linked has the title “GPL to get its day in court,” and the conclusion that “I doubt it will make it to court.” His blog is about open stuff, but you can’t leave a comment without first registering with CNET, and pings just bounce off its hide. That said, Matt’s blog is interesting, except for the posts about Arsenal.
