This is (a smaller version of) the logo at The Pirate Bay today. It’s my logo of the day (and that’s an award you don’t see every day), so congratulations to the piratical file-sharers.
Four Pirate Bay admins are being charged with “assisting copyright infringement” by a Swedish prosecutor. According to Mashable Stan, “the prosecutors are determined to break the site once and for all” and have asked for a $188,000 fine on each of the four. (Stan has a decimal point where I have a comma in that number: I believe me.)
The Pirate Bay will keep operating just as always, insists the Bay’s blog. Since the servers have moved to locations unknown (even to the admins), that will probably turn out to be true for a while, whatever the outcome of the case.
