WordPress 2.5 will be available for download soon, according to the sneak peek that Matt just posted. I’ve downloaded the release candidate version, and will give it a try soon. I expect that we will see the 2.5 features (new dashboard, etc.) at WordPress.com shortly.
After a little time with 2.5, I’ll move on to the next post in my series about Automattic and making money from free/open source software. It’ll be the one on self-hosted WordPress.
Yesterday, I published some thoughts on how money can be made from WordPress.com by the people who blog there. It’s not part of the series, although it’s related. In fact, it’s a complement to the post on how Automattic is Making Money from WordPress.com.
